CD#06 can be run directly from the CD (but only after software has been loaded on the hard disc) and is the BMW EBA (no, I don’t know what it stands for either!).  The EBA is a database listing all the after-market accessories that can be fitted to BMWs.  The database is used by BMW mechanics to show them how to fit an accessory.  It shows all the tools required, the method and the approximate time to do the job.  It’s a very good tool for deciding whether to tackle a job, or to leave it to the professionals.

CD#07 can be run directly from the CD and is the BMW KSD (Kaufmännische Service Daten).  It covers cars and bikes up to the year 2000.  It contains

  1. Repair Times.  These are given in Flat Rate Units (FRU).  Each FRU = 5 mins.  You need to know what your local garage’s hourly rate is before you can convert this to money.
  2. Defect Codes.
  3. Wheel / Tyre Combinations (bikes are not covered)

I have made my best efforts to produce accurate sheets, but accept no responsibility for any mistakes.

The only way to guarantee that the TIS, ETK, KSD and EBA cover your vehicle is to e-mail me with the last seven characters of your chassis number.  I will check the discs and e-mail you back with the results.
